In the world of portable technology there are laptops, Netbooks and tablets. Though they are similar in that they give us technology on the go, they also have many differences. Laptops are the grandfather to the netbook and tablet and can be defined as a sleek portable computer. Laptops screens stand at 90 degrees and are battery powered.

The way that we use technology is changing rapidly in this modern digital age. More importantly, bandwidth limits are beginning to affect the way in which we use the internet. People are needing to stream bigger files and want the benefits of unlimited data usage on both their computers and smartphones. Solid-State Drives vs. Hard Disk Drives

There are many difference s between solid state and hard disk drives. In order to understand and visualize these differences it helps to first understand the basic differences in technology. A hard disk drive is a high capacity storage device that contains many magnetic plates. Think of these plates as records that hold data. An arm, similar to the needle on a record player, will pull and place information onto the disks.
